The final list of Assam's National Register of Citizens has been released online on Saturday. In the final list of NRC released on 31 August, more than 19 lakh people have been excluded.

The final list of Assam's National Register of Citizens (NRC) has been released online on Saturday. In the final list of NRC released on 31 August, more than 19 lakh people have been excluded. Now the final list has been released online. With which people can easily check their name in the list.

Significantly, 3,30,27,661 people had applied to join NRC in Assam. 19,06,657 people were removed from the final list while 3,11,21,004 people were declared as Indian citizens. Explain that the entire process of identifying foreigners living illegally in Assam and releasing the final list of NRC online has taken 6 years. The process of revising the NRC began in 2013 following an order from the Supreme Court. The entire process was carried out by the Registrar General of India under the supervision of the Supreme Court.

On the final list, the NRC Authority had said that the NRC process started from the end of May in 2015 and continued till 31 August. For this, a total of 3,30,27,661 people applied through 68,37,660 application forms. Out of which 3,11,21,004 people have been declared as citizens of India while 19,06,657 people have been left out of the list.
